Minimum Wage
The National Minimum Wage (MW) is the minimum pay per hour workers who have a contract with their employer (either verbal or in writing) are entitled to by law.
It is your duty as an employer to pay the MW.
From 1st January 2025 the minimum wage is £9.19
With effect from 1st January 2026, the minimum wage will be £9.66.
The Minimum Wage Legislation will be reviewed at least every 12 months and changes may be made to the minimum wage. Any changes to the rates will be published in the Gazette. Employers will have 3 months to comply.
