The Directorate of Policy, Economy & Corporate Services, through the Environment Department, is responsible for providing the following licences and permits:

  • Research Licences

- for persons to conduct Environmental Research in the Falkland Islands

Please note for research which involves handling protected plant or animal species or you are considering studying nationally protected animals, applications will be considered by the Environmental Committee. It is suggested applications are submitted at least 8 weeks before Environmental Committee.

Committee dates for 2024 are:  1st March,  7th June,  6th September and  6th December

 

  • Visitor permits

- for individuals and groups to visit and land on FIG owned Islands, other than Kidney Island
