Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral will take place on Saturday 17 April at 3pm (UK time) in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Falkland Islands will join the United Kingdom in observing a one-minute silence at the start of the funeral, which will start at 11am local time. In the UK a ceremonial procession will precede the funeral inside the castle grounds.
