Job Title:  Senior Project Planner 

FIG Grade B: starting salary £47,428 to £54,424 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

The Opportunity: This role will lead the coordination of multiple project workstreams to support the delivery of projects within FIG’s Capital Programme.

Essential criteria for the role include a BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and a Project/Programme Management Qualification (i.e. Prince2, APM, PMI/MSP). Candidates must also have a minimum of six years’ experience in senior project planning and programme management.

FIG Grade A: starting salary £56,716 to £65,084 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

The Opportunity: Acting alongside the Senior Port Project Manager, this role will primarily serve as Falkland Islands Government’s client representative for the FIPASS replacement project, overseeing site management and ensuring compliance with all contractual, technical and quality standards while also contributing to other major infrastructure projects.

Essential criteria for the role include a BSc (or equivalent) or other evidence of this level of ability and Chartered Civil or Structural Engineering status. Candidates must also have a minimum of ten years’ site and project management experience, along with five years’ contract management experience, including experience with NEC.

Job Title:  Emergency Services Control Room Operator

Falkland Islands Government Grade G2: Starting Salary £20,635 – £22,943 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

The Opportunity:  To be the first point of contact for the Emergency Services and the Maritime ship to shore radio service, including efficient management of the telephone switchboard and radio communication systems, accurately assessing non-emergency and emergency calls for assistance, the control and management of Government resources and receiving all visitors to Police Headquarters.

Essential criteria to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade 4+ or Grade C (or equivalent), a minimum of 5 years’ relevant administrative/clerical experience with excellent written and spoken English, excellent listening skills and a  high-level of computer literacy.
