HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES -  Community Support Workers

The Opportunity: The Community Support Team have vacancies for full time carers to work within their team. This work enables individuals within their care to achieve their optimum health through providing support to them and to the nurses, families, and other carers within the team. 

Essential criteria applicants must be literate and numerate with good basic IT skills, hold a manual driving licence and have at least 6 months’ relevant experience of working in a social care setting.

DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT -  Sports Attendant

The Opportunity: we are seeking highly motivated individuals to work within the Leisure Centre to carry out a variety of tasks to ensure a safe and enjoyable place for the general public to use.

Essential criteria for this role include a current Pool Lifeguard qualification, or the ability to gain, a valid First Aid Certification and sporting/leisure/fitness experience. Training can be provided for the right candidate.  The candidate must also be a strong team player and have the capacity to work effectively with people of all ages and abilities.

DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES & ISLAND SECURITY -  Customs & Immigration Officer

The Opportunity: to provide operational and administrative support to the Collector of Customs and Head of Immigration in the provision of an efficient and effective Customs & Immigration service.

Essential Criteria to include a good standard of education, the ability to produce accurate reports and have good IT skills. The postholder must have a full manual driving licence and be sufficiently physically fit for the duties required. The working hours will include weekends, public holidays and there is an on-call requirement.

Due to the involvement in national security matters applicants must also hold a British passport (British Citizen or British Overseas Territory Citizen).

NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT - Veterinary Officer - Public Health

The Opportunity: The Department of Agriculture Veterinary Service seeks applications for a full-time Official Veterinarian to join their small, busy team in 2025. The position will primarily consist of regulatory public health duties including regulation of an EU approved abattoir and fishery product establishments.

Essential criteria: Applicants must have Official Veterinarian qualifications with at least 5 years public health experience and familiarity with HACCP documentation.
