Job Title:  Senior Dental Officer

FIG Grade:  £104,611 per annum

The Opportunity: to manage the Dental Department as a lead clinician in order to deliver dental services to the community and provide advice to the Senior Leadership team on all dental matters within the Directorate.

 Essential criteria: to include having a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, registered with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (or recognised international equivalent) and have a minimum 5 years’ experience as a general dental practitioner and experience of senior dental role in the UK’s National Health Service (or equivalent).

Job Title:  Estate Engineer (Mechanical)

FIG Grade:  This post is a succession planned opportunity. The successful applicant will be appointed to either Grade F (starting salary £24,950 - £28,689 per annum), Grade E1 (starting salary £28,982 - £33,332 per annum) or Grade D2 (starting salary £35,774 - £41,168 per annum) depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

The Opportunity: The primary responsibility of the post holder will be the maintenance, repairs and testing of building services plant and medical support systems across the spectrum of the Healthcare Estate. As this role is being offered on a progression plan basis, there will be scope for movement through the Grades as specific competences are achieved. The successful candidate must also be able to effectively diagnose, analyse and repair faults on mechanical, plumbing and electrical plant and equipment. The candidate must have the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to new ideas with the knowledge and skills to apply them effectively in the workplace.

Essential criteria: minimum entry requirements for this role include professional knowledge acquired through a National Vocational Qualification Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or an equivalent level of qualification such as a City Guilds Technicians certification, or 5 years relevant work experience carried out in an equivalent level of role in the field of either Mechanics, Plumbing, Building or Engineering.

Job Title:  Pharmacy Technician

FIG Grade:  E1 starting salary £28,982 - £35,672 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity: to be responsible for the procurement of pharmaceuticals for the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital ensuring a robust stock management system is in place.

 Essential criteria: include having a Level 5 qualification in procurement or supply chain management, or the ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience at an equivalent level and a Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and have a minimum of at least 2 years’ experience of pharmacy procurement and distribution.
