PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT -  Property & Municipal - Plant Operator/Handyperson

The Opportunity: to carry out driving and plant operating duties on public and FIG sites as required by the Municipal Foreman and to assist with the general maintenance and repair of FIG’s buildings and properties as required.

Essential Criteria to include a valid HGV driving licence, minimum of 2 years construction of heavy plant experience including operating 360o excavators, 180o excavators, telescopic handlers, and dozers.

DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT -  FIGAS - Continued Airworthiness Officer

The Opportunity: This is a progression plan role to support the FIGAS Maintenance/Continued Air Worthiness (CAW) Manager with planning, organising and managing aircraft maintenance including aircraft maintenance staff by controlling and disseminating/receiving all pertinent maintenance documentation such as work packs, work cards, modifications, airworthiness directives, service bulletins and letters related to every maintenance activity across the fleet.

Essential criteria to include GCSEs Level 4 or a grade C in Mathematics, English, and a Science subject or equivalent.

DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT -  FIGAS - Administration Clerk

The Opportunity: To provide clerical support to the Personal Assistant to the General Manager by maintaining accurate financial records of revenue and expenditure.  Be responsible for filing along with the processing of data within the Department.

Essential criteria to include GCSE at grade C/level 4 and above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English and competent in the use of Microsoft office programmes.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT -  Primary Qualified Teacher - Behaviour and Nurture SEND Teacher - IJS&CE

The Opportunity: The Falkland Islands, Infant Junior School & Camp Education are seeking to recruit a Primary qualified, enthusiastic, creative and experienced teacher of SEND, Behaviour and Nurture to start in September 2025.  

Essential Criteria: Applicants must be graduate teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (recognisable in UK) who have completed their early careers teacher’s induction year and have at least 3 years’ recent experience within the UK or British curriculum school.
