BFBS Sapper Hill TV service: viewer testing requirement - Sky News

The Falkland Islands Government would like to remind TV viewers in Stanley and surrounding areas that the BFBS test of Sky News transmission from Sapper Hill is ongoing until Monday 5 April. Viewers are therefore reminded to check, if they haven’t already done so, that the Sky News channel is still working on their TV sets.

If everything works as usual there is no need to do anything further.

However, if you experience problems with Sky News during this test period, then please try any other TVs you have to see if they work.

If the Sky News channel does not work properly please report this to Lynn Brownlee via email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling 28430. You will need to provide: your name, address and telephone number, confirmation that all other channels are working properly, the brand and model number of the TV(s) you own which are affected, and whether you have a set top box.

It is extremely important that people carry out this test to avoid losing the TV service when the planned equipment upgrade is made later in the year, and to report any issues experienced.
