Marine Accidents

The Falkland Islands Maritime authority have a responsibility to investigate marine accidents in line with our legislation which can be found here.  When investigating accidents, the investigators act indipendently to the Falkland Islands Maritime Authority.  The purpose of the safety accident investigation is to help prevent future avoidable accident and not to aportion blame of liability.
