‘The Falklands – 35 Years of Progress’ Photo Competition

The Falkland Islands Government PR & Media Office is currently running a photo competition to source quality images of the Falkland Islands.

We are looking for images from amateur and professional photographers in several categories – Politics, the Economy, Society & Culture, and the Environment – and are looking forward to promoting our Islands through the quality photos submitted.

The winning photos will be printed and displayed at a London gallery in 2017 as part of the 35th Anniversary commemorations of the Falklands War and British liberation. The London photographic exhibition will showcase the huge progress and developments the Falklands has undergone over the past 35 years and will promote the unique environment, history and people of the Islands.

In addition to the photo exhibition, a new booklet on the Falklands will also be released at the event, illustrating the vast changes that have occurred in the Islands since 1982.

The closing date for photo entries is Wednesday 9th November 2016.
