Background & Qualifications

I was born in Germany and did my BSc in Biology at the University of Kiel in 2016, spending one semester at the University of Sydney. Afterwards I started the Masters program of Oceanographic Biology at Geomar Kiel graduading in 2019. For my Master thesis I analyzed and modulated plankton data banks of the recent decade to predict spreading of an invasive comb jellyfish. I participated in different research cruises managing the plankton sampling and recordance of data. Next to working for different departments of Geomar during my studies, I did numerous internships in aquariums and conservation stations and completed a scientific diving training to gain insights in multiple fields of marine research. At the end of 2019 I moved to the Falkland Islands to work as the data manager for the Fisheries Department. I have since been promoted to Stock assesmnt Scientist.
