COVID-19: Information and Guidance

Shipping

From 4 May 2022, the Falkland Islands Government has discontinued the suite of additional measures that were put in place for shipping arriving in the Falkland Islands, which were designed to minimise the risk of the spread of COVID-19 into the Islands.

All vessels (including merchant, fishing and cruise vessels) will be required to submit an International Declaration of Health to customs prior to arrival, together with their standard Reports Inwards documentation using email: This email address is being protected from spambots. The Falkland Islands expects to be open for a full cruise season in 2022-23. We look forward to welcoming our visitors from around the world. Certain public health measures may be in place, and further guidance will be published here in due course.

The Falkland Islands Government has a published a framework setting out the circumstances in which additional Covid restrictions may be considered, including any additional measures in relation to shipping. This framework can be found at:  https://www.falklands.gov.fk/covid-19/information/kemh-guidance
