Vaccination clinic for 5 – 11-year olds

The KEMH is pleased to announce children aged between 5 and 11 years old are to be offered their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine against Covid-19.

Clinics for children living on East Falklands are being run at the KEMH on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March. Parents/carers should have received an email from the School Nurse explaining the timings for each year group and including a consent from that must be completed in advance. Any parent/carer who has not yet received a consent form should contact the Infant and Junior School and Camp Education on 27294.

Children living on West Falkland will be offered their first dose on Tuesday 22 March, when the mobile vaccination team will be visiting West Falkland and the Outer Islands; parents/carers are asked to keep a close eye on the relevant FIGAS channels for arrival times.

Remember, being fully vaccinated gives you the best chance of avoiding Covid-19 and reduces your chance of transmitting the virus to others. It will also help you should you wish to go overseas for business, pleasure or in an emergency.
