Infectious Diseases Control Regulations

    • The Infectious Diseases Control (Coronavirus: Transmission Control Period) Regulations 2022 were published in the Gazette on 5 April 2022 and come into force on 4 May 2022.
    • A summary of the main effects of the Regulations is provided in the downloadable document below. These Regulations and the Infectious Diseases Control (Coronavirus, Restrictions and Requirements during an Emergency Period) Regulations 2021 provide powers to enable the Government to manage serious and imminent threat to public health from COVID-19.
    • The need for both Regulations will be reviewed in 6 months and will expire on 4 May 2023 if no further action is taken to revoke or extend them before then.
