Biography:
Sharon Halford, a Falkland Islander born in Stanley in 1953, married John in 1972 and has two daughters and three grandsons. First elected to the Legislative Council from 1993 to 2001 for the Stanley Constituency, on 5 November 2009 Sharon was elected to the Legislative Assembly for the Camp Constituency.
She was educated in the Stanley schools in the Falkland Islands and took Higher English at the Perth College of Further Education in Scotland. Sharon's interests include gardening (mainly vegetables), fishing in the Falklands' rivers, horses and enjoying the great outdoors.
